What You Need:
1/2 pt. strawberry ice cream
1/3 C white chocolate, chopped
2/3 C strawberries, sliced
4 T berry flavored liqueur
1/3 C heavy cream
2 T confectioners’ sugar
How to Make It:
Place the ice cream in a microwave safe bowl.
Microwave the ice cream on high for 15 seconds.
The ice cream should be soft if not microwave at 5 second intervals until softened.
Stir the white chocolate into the soft ice cream.
Add the sliced strawberries and 2 T of the liqueur and stir to combine well.
Cover and place back in the freezer for 50 minutes or until refrozen.
Pour the heavy cream into a mixing bowl.
Add the confectioners’ sugar and beat on medium high speed with an electric blender under soft peaks begin to form.
Remove the ice cream and place into 2 dessert bowls.
Pour the remaining liqueur over the ice cream and top with the cream mixture.
Any type of ice cream and chocolate can be used in this recipe. You can change the type of fruit or instead of fruit add nuts. The variations are endless. An alcohol based liqueur needs to be used in this recipe. It will not freeze as solid as other types of flavorings.
